Tesla CEO Elon Musk noted on Tuesday that, quite simply, Americans need to have more kids. Musk tweeted a chart from the Wall Street Journal that illustrated the decline of birth rates in the United States over the past 50 years.
“USA birth rate has been below min sustainable levels for ~50 years,” he said .
He added that contrary to “popular belief,” rich people don’t have as many children as one might think.
“Contrary to what many think, the richer someone is, the fewer kids they have,” he tweeted . “I am a rare exception. Most people I know have zero or one kid.”Musk has seven living children.
