They told you Antifa was a vibe. A hashtag. A bunch of kids in black bloc punching “Nazis.” The State Department just put that bedtime story in a memo and set it on fire.
An Italy-based tech collective that built encrypted email, hidden websites, secure video, and anonymity shields for the most violent far-left cells in America also served as digital infrastructure for Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Portland’s own Rose City Antifa is named in the same document. Not in a footnote. In the same stack of users.
Fox News Digital obtained the State Department memo. Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not whisper it. He said the quiet part out loud.
Far-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West. Today, the United States sanctioned Autistici/Inventati – a major far-left tech collective whose services are used by the most active and violent Antifa cells in the United States and across the world.
Autistici/Inventati, the A/I Collective, is now a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. Americans and U.S. banks cannot do business with it. Assets under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen. Break the ban and you can face civil or criminal penalties. That is not a press release about “misinformation.” That is a terror listing.
The Same Servers, Different Masks
The collective claims roughly 16,000 mailboxes, 1,500 websites, 5,500 mailing lists, and 10,000 blogs on a custom platform. It does not rent those tools to whoever shows up with a credit card. The State Department says A/I screens users for ideological alignment and serves left-wing extremists exclusively.
Treasury put a finer point on it. The group also supplied services to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK, already designated by the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
Rose City Antifa sat on that network. So did a far-left media outfit the memo says used A/I tools to push information to the PFLP, Hamas, the IRGC, Hezbollah, and others. The PFLP, State notes, is proliferating inside the United States. Read that again. Portland riot crews and Iranian proxy networks were not “adjacent.” They were customers of the same shop.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
That is not a foreign policy slogan. It is a command. Washington spent years pretending the black bloc and the jihadist bloc had nothing in common except a shared hatred of the West. The memo treats that pretense as closed.
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control moved the same day. OFAC sanctioned Autistici Inventati, the U.K. group Palestine Action, and the transnational outfit Masar Badil, which Treasury describes as a front for the PFLP through the already-sanctioned Samidoun network.
Two Masar Badil leaders, Rawa Alsagheer and Zaid Abdulnasser, were designated with it. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent did not ask anyone to parse “mostly peaceful.”
Far-left extremists, their fronts, and their enablers should be on notice. We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear. Political terrorism has no place in our society, and we will continue to cut the financial lifelines of these groups until they are eliminated.
Lasers at Helicopters and Open Season on Pregnancy Centers
This is not theory. The memo walks through what the tools were used to do.
Rose City Antifa used A/I services to circulate a flyer telling supporters to blast U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopters with laser pointers. “All you need is a laser,” it said. “Mask up. Coordinate with friends to throw a laser party!” And then the punch line. “It won’t take many of us to ground the helicopters!”
At least one man answered. He later pleaded guilty to aiming a laser at a CBP helicopter and forcing the aircraft to abort its landing.
The same Portland cell used the platform to dump personal information on ICE personnel and call for targeted attacks on agents “in their homes” and in public. That is not speech. That is a targeting package.
Jane’s Revenge, the militant abortion outfit that declared “open season” on pro-life groups after the leaked Dobbs draft, used A/I tools to publish communiqués and claims of responsibility and to incite copycats. The group claimed the May 2022 firebombing of a crisis pregnancy center in Madison, Wisconsin. The next day’s message was not subtle.
“This was only a warning.”
Disband every “anti-choice” ministry in thirty days, or else. More posts followed, claiming smashed glass and graffiti at pregnancy centers across the country. Four members were later charged federally with conspiracy against rights through threats of force and intimidation.
Atlanta militants used the same digital rails in a violent campaign to stop construction of a law enforcement training center. In Europe, far-left cells in France, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands used A/I tools to claim rail attacks this year and circulate instructions for improvised incendiary devices. Anarchists who sabotaged infrastructure for the Transalpine Pipeline used it. So did Germany’s Vulkangruppe, which claimed a January attack that knocked out power to roughly 45,000 Berlin households.
The media spent half a decade calling this “activism.” The memo calls it what it is. Infrastructure for people who want to stay anonymous, untraceable, and beyond the law while they organize, recruit, share target lists, and carry out attacks.
They Were Never Just “Anti-Fascists”
President Trump declared Antifa a terrorist organization in 2025. In November of that year the State Department designated four European far-left cells as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, including Germany’s Antifa Ost and Italy’s Informal Anarchist Federation.
The 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy now lists violent far-left terrorist groups as one of the three major terrorist threats facing the country. Palestine Action was already proscribed as a terror group by the United Kingdom in July 2025 after years of break-ins at defense sites and millions in damage to military equipment. Treasury says the group encouraged the same tactics inside the United States and along the southern border.
A Daily Caller investigation last fall had already mapped A/I as the foreign hideout keeping police off Antifa’s trail, hosting sites that doxxed officers and celebrated attacks. The White House had already catalogued what Portland actually looked like when the cameras were honest. Siege of an ICE office. Explosives. A guillotine rolled into the street. Officers assaulted. Neighbors terrorized. The legacy press called it a protest. Residents called it a occupation.
Rubio’s close should be carved into the door of every newsroom that spent years sneering that Antifa “isn’t an organization.”
There will be no refuge for violent extremists who wage war on our civilization and plot to undermine law and order, destroy critical infrastructure, assault political opponents, or conspire to conceal their crimes from authorities. We will use all the tools and authorities at our disposal to fight terrorism and protect our way of life from terrorist coercion.
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Portland’s black bloc and Iran’s Quds Force fan club did not stumble onto the same Italian server by accident. They agreed on the enemy. They agreed on the method. They agreed that American law, American borders, American churches, and American pregnancy centers were fair game if the right slogan was painted on the brick.
The designation does not end the violence. It names the network that made the violence portable. That is more than the last administration ever dared to do. And it is the least a serious country can do when its own cities have been used as a proving ground for people who share circuitry with Hamas.

The conflict with Iran turned the world’s most important energy chokepoint into a contested waterway, and the consequences reach far beyond the gas pump. Roughly a third of global fertilizer trade moves through Hormuz, and the disruption sent urea prices up 86 percent year over year by March, with a 53 percent jump in a single month.
The World Bank projects energy prices rising about 24 percent in 2026 and fertilizer about 31 percent. By its own accounting, fertilizer prices ran 35 percent higher in the first five months of this year than the same period last year.
Here is the mechanism the nightly news will not explain. Fertilizer is not a grocery item. It is a time-delayed input. The nitrogen a farmer in Iowa or Punjab could not afford to apply this spring does not show up as a problem this spring. It shows up as a thinner harvest six to twelve months later.
The World Bank’s own food security brief concedes that the effects of reduced applications earlier this season “are likely to become visible only later in harvest outcomes.” Translate that from institutional language into plain English and it means this. The damage is already done, it is already in the ground, and we are simply waiting for it to arrive on the shelf.
Now check the calendar. Six to twelve months from the spring planting season lands us squarely in late 2026 and early 2027. Which is precisely when the strongest El Niño in the instrumental record is forecast to peak, bringing its signature droughts to Southeast Asia, Australia, southern Africa, northern Brazil, and South Asia, the very regions that grow the world’s rice, sugar, and oilseeds.
The World Bank warns openly that a strong El Niño “could disrupt multiple crop belts simultaneously” on top of the conflict-driven input costs. Their baseline projection assumes the Middle East disruptions ease by autumn. What in the last two years of Middle East history suggests that assumption is safe?
The System Has No Slack Left
The comfortable answer is that global markets always adjust. But adjustment requires slack, and the slack is gone. Global cereal production is expected to decline from last year’s records even before El Niño does its work. The UN World Food Programme, hardly a den of right-wing preppers, is calling this the most significant disruption to its supply chains since Covid and the invasion of Ukraine, and its supply chain director put the stakes bluntly.
Today’s supply chain challenges are tomorrow’s hunger crisis.
There is also a political dimension that markets cannot price. When food gets scarce, governments do not behave like economists. They behave like politicians. Export bans, hoarding mandates, and panic buying at the national level turned the modest rice shortfall of 2008 into a global crisis, and analysts are already warning that import-dependent nations are the first dominoes.
The 2015-16 Super El Niño, a far weaker event than what is now forecast, threw tens of millions into food stress across Africa and Asia. This one is projected to be stronger, and it arrives with fertilizer already rationed by price and shipping lanes already contested by missiles.

The lesson is not that famine is certain. It is that the time to prepare is precisely when preparation still looks optional.
