The New York Post reports that Marine Corps Air Station Miramar turned 471 all-female Spanish-Boer goats loose on more than 600 acres of East Miramar on Tuesday, September 15. The pilot is called Operation Goat Rope. Base officials say it is the first time a U.S. military installation has used targeted grazing as wildfire prevention.

So the Marines can rent a working herd today. They should not have to pray the next session of the Legislature does not price the next one out of existence.
