The wildly popular Capcom zombie horror video game “Resident Evil” has never successfully had its story translated into a live-action version. While the Resident Evil movies starring Milla Jovovich have their cult following, it’s safe to say that they don’t have mass appeal.
Netflix decided to take their own swing at it and missed by a mile . It was plagued with horrible story writing, bad character development, strange decisions about the way established characters acted, unnecessary race swaps, and cringe-worthy moments. It resulted in a show that quickly fell off in terms of viewership and found little love from audiences. As of this writing, it sports an audience score of 26 percent on Rotten Tomatoes .
