British journalist Piers Morgan and liberal streamer and YouTuber Destiny argued Wednesday over President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter, with Destiny questioning what taking the “high moral ground” has gained Democrats.
Since Biden announced Sunday that he had pardoned Hunter, Democrats have had mixed reactions, with some opposing the decision and others supporting it. On “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Destiny argued that Biden’s decision was made in “good prudence” after President-elect Donald Trump tapped Kash Patel as his FBI director, prompting Morgan to call out Destiny’s attitude.
“You seem very phlegmatic about all this, Destiny, but inside you must be hurting. Because what Joe Biden has done with one flick of his pen, he has taken away all the high moral ground that the Democrats could have had against Trump for the next four years,” Morgan said. “Because Trump can now pardon who the hell he likes. He can pardon every January 6 protester, and he can do it in the sure knowledge that the moment people like you go, ‘This is an outrage. How can you do this?’ He goes, ‘You know what? At least they went to prison.’ Hunter Biden didn’t do a day.”
Destiny responded.
