A theater in Minnesota has cancelled an upcoming appearance by comedian Dave Chappelle after a humourless woke mob repeatedly complained about the venue giving a platform to his ‘transphobic’ jokes. The First Avenue venue made the announcement Thursday, stating “We hear you,” and explaining “The Dave Chappelle show tonight at First Avenue has been canceled and is moving to the Varsity Theater.”
It continued, “The First Avenue team and you have worked hard to make our venues the safest spaces in the country, and we will continue with that mission.”
The venue claimed “We believe in diverse voices and the freedom of artistic expression, but in honoring that, we lost sight of the impact this would have.”
