A charity in Aberdeen sat grown men down and walked them through the legal age at which they may have sex with a girl in Scotland. That sentence should end the argument. It does not, because the people running the country keep importing men who need the lecture.

Sixteen. Seventeen. Eighteen. The speaker eventually landed on the right number. Sixteen in both places. Then came the line that should have emptied the hall and the country.
Don’t be deceived. We have young persons growing bigger than their age. In fact 14 years, 12 years, they are taller than myself. So don’t be deceived by the size. Ask questions. Ask for their age before you go into any form of relationship, sexual intimacy with anybody.
A man in the room called the lesson “very essential,” because “we’ve had young men fall for these things.” Fall for what? Girls who look older than they are. That is the framing. Not “do not touch children.” Not “rape is wicked.” The problem, as they tell it, is that a twelve-year-old might trick you by being tall.
Mark Simpson, the MSP for the North East Region, put it in a letter the charity did not want published first.
That is not civic education. It is an admission that your organisation believes some of the men it works with do not understand that children are off limits. Grown men should not need a publicly funded workshop to be told not to have sex with children. If they do, that is a policing and criminal matter.
Mamacita answered the way every funded integration shop answers. The meeting was a “broader cultural integration and community awareness discussion.” Consent “affects everyone, regardless of nationality or background.”
Volunteers now fear for their safety because people on the internet noticed what was said in the room. The children who might be “deceived” into looking sixteen never get a paragraph.
The Booklet Came First
This was not a rogue workshop. In August the Home Office started handing arrivals a nine-page guide titled Understanding behaviours and expectations in the UK. Twitchy and the Scottish Daily Express printed the relevant pages.
Age of consent is sixteen. Even if she looks older. Even if it is allowed in another country. Even if she says yes.
Sex without consent is rape. Men and women are equal. A woman does not need a husband’s permission to work, study, travel, or refuse. Break the rules and you can lose your housing, your support, and your claim.
Lee Anderson called the project what it is. Importing savages, then printing a pamphlet so they will not treat British girls the way their home cultures treat girls. Scottish Conservative justice spokesman Stephen Kerr said the quiet part louder. Men who have to be told that rape is wrong should never have been allowed in.
The charity and the Home Office both treat this as a translation problem. It is not. It is a civilizational problem. You do not need a flowchart to know a child is not a wife. You need a conscience formed by a law higher than the nearest strongman. American Thinker noted the guesses in the room were not random. In parts of Africa and the Middle East the number on the books is twelve, thirteen, even nine if a girl is married. The men did not invent those numbers in Aberdeen. They brought them.
Scotland Already Knows the Cost
Falkirk does not need a seminar. Afghan asylum seeker Sadeq Nikzad was jailed after raping a fifteen-year-old local girl. Hotels used as dispersal sites have been the backdrop for protests precisely because mothers can do arithmetic the SNP will not.
Almost three-quarters of asylum claimants in the UK are men of fighting age. Grooming gangs did not stop at the English border. Fiona Goddard, abused from age thirteen in Bradford, has said she was trafficked into Scotland and raped there, and that First Minister John Swinney’s refusal to treat the pattern as real is “insane.”
Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
That is not a diversity module. That is the standard a Christian people used to apply without a grant application. A nation that has to rent a hall to explain it has already surrendered the first duty of government, which is to protect its own daughters.
The farce writes itself. Officials wave in unvetted men from cultures that marry children, then fund a charity to say “ask for ID.” If the men already know, the class is theater. If they do not know, they should be on a plane, not in a pop-in session eating donated food while someone diagrams sixteen. There is no third option that keeps Scottish girls safe and the volunteers feeling affirmed.
America should watch this the way you watch a house fire next door. The same NGOs, the same “New Scot” language, the same reflex to call the parent a fascist for noticing. Trump’s border halt bought time. It did not repeal the instinct in our own agencies to treat child protection as a sensitivity training item. If a man needs a taxpayer workshop to learn that a twelve-year-old is not fair game, he is not a neighbor in waiting. He is a warning.

The atmosphere has already shifted into El Niño mode, and the event is forecast to crest in late fall and early winter.
This is not about “climate change.” It’s about the standard cycles of weather, and the cycle we’re currently in is one that has likely devastated societies in the past. We’re better prepared as a society today, but not all Americans are equally prepared.

While the Pacific warms, the second shock has been unfolding in the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict with Iran turned the world’s most important energy chokepoint into a contested waterway, and the consequences reach far beyond the gas pump. Roughly a third of global fertilizer trade moves through Hormuz, and the disruption sent urea prices up 86 percent year over year by March, with a 53 percent jump in a single month.
The World Bank projects energy prices rising about 24 percent in 2026 and fertilizer about 31 percent. By its own accounting, fertilizer prices ran 35 percent higher in the first five months of this year than the same period last year.
Here is the mechanism the nightly news will not explain. Fertilizer is not a grocery item. It is a time-delayed input. The nitrogen a farmer in Iowa or Punjab could not afford to apply this spring does not show up as a problem this spring. It shows up as a thinner harvest six to twelve months later.
The World Bank’s own food security brief concedes that the effects of reduced applications earlier this season “are likely to become visible only later in harvest outcomes.” Translate that from institutional language into plain English and it means this. The damage is already done, it is already in the ground, and we are simply waiting for it to arrive on the shelf.
Now check the calendar. Six to twelve months from the spring planting season lands us squarely in late 2026 and early 2027. Which is precisely when the strongest El Niño in the instrumental record is forecast to peak, bringing its signature droughts to Southeast Asia, Australia, southern Africa, northern Brazil, and South Asia, the very regions that grow the world’s rice, sugar, and oilseeds.
The World Bank warns openly that a strong El Niño “could disrupt multiple crop belts simultaneously” on top of the conflict-driven input costs. Their baseline projection assumes the Middle East disruptions ease by autumn. What in the last two years of Middle East history suggests that assumption is safe?
The System Has No Slack Left
The comfortable answer is that global markets always adjust. But adjustment requires slack, and the slack is gone. Global cereal production is expected to decline from last year’s records even before El Niño does its work. The UN World Food Programme, hardly a den of right-wing preppers, is calling this the most significant disruption to its supply chains since Covid and the invasion of Ukraine, and its supply chain director put the stakes bluntly.
Today’s supply chain challenges are tomorrow’s hunger crisis.
There is also a political dimension that markets cannot price. When food gets scarce, governments do not behave like economists. They behave like politicians. Export bans, hoarding mandates, and panic buying at the national level turned the modest rice shortfall of 2008 into a global crisis, and analysts are already warning that import-dependent nations are the first dominoes.
The 2015-16 Super El Niño, a far weaker event than what is now forecast, threw tens of millions into food stress across Africa and Asia. This one is projected to be stronger, and it arrives with fertilizer already rationed by price and shipping lanes already contested by missiles.

Scripture does not treat preparation for lean years as faithlessness. It treats it as wisdom delivered in advance to those willing to act on it.

Joseph did not respond to that warning with a hashtag or a committee. He stored grain during the years of abundance, and when the famine came, Egypt stood while its neighbors begged. The lesson is not that famine is certain. It is that the time to prepare is precisely when preparation still looks optional.
