Former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon filed a notice to appeal his conviction and sentence for contempt of Congress.
The D.C. Court of Appeals last month sentenced Bannon, 68, to four months in prison and a fine of $6,500.
The former White House strategist was found guilty in July on two counts of contempt of Congress after he did not comply with Jan. 6 committee subpoenas.
“Remember, this illegitimate regime, their judgment day is on 8 November, when the Biden administration ends,” Bannon said after filing his appeal as several onlookers yelled, “Traitor!”
