Tacoma, WA – The Pierce County Force Investigation Team released security and bodycam video from the fatal gunfight with police that lead to the death of a domestic violence suspect in August (video below).
The incident occurred on Aug. 28 after officers responded to a home in the 6700-block of South Monroe Street for a report of a domestic disturbance, KING reported.
Police said a relative called 911 and reported that 40-year-old Peter T. Collins had assaulted him.
Ring video camera from the relative’s home showed Collins standing in the yard yelling at somebody in the house, KING reported.Then the video cut to a Tacoma police officer repeatedly ordering Collins not to get into a car.Collins can’t be seen in the bodycam video.Shots rang out seconds later when Collins opened fire on the officers, the video showed.One of the officers advised dispatch that Collins was firing at police with a “long gun” […]
